If you look at http://webopedia.internet.com/, you definitions are
correct.

See this:

throughput: The amount of data *transferred* from one place to another
or processed in a specified amount of time.
bandwidth: The amount of data that *can* be transmitted in a fixed
amount of time. 

As ntop sees data that has already been transmitted, I think that I'm
dealing with throughput, whereas bandwidth looks to me as a "max thpt".
Again, I'm ready to fix ntop, let's make sure that you're definition is
correct. What do you think about "Network Load" ?

Yes it's cumulative. Non-cumulative is for instance Stats -> Traffic
