We have a new Domain environment that we are setting up (2012 R2 DFL/FFL), no
users in there yet. All servers 2012 R2, and clients all Windows 10. The plan
is to use Active Directory Based Activation. I've done the configuration to
install the KMS Host key, and see the new activation object in AD. And
successfully activated online. Does anyone know if this patch is required for
ADBA:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3058168

It specifically says KMS, but does it apply to ADBA as well?

I've tested 2 windows 10 machines so far, and neither of them activated. A
slmgr.vbs /dli results in this:

0xC004F056

I'll do a /DLV next to see if that provides any useful information, but so far
I can't find anything that talks about this.

Thanks
