We have an environment that was recently setup in AWS. All servers reside in 
AWS, and clients are on premise. Trying to figure out how to do KMS for 
activation. Since AWS covers the licensing for all it's own instances and 
provides their own KMS servers....I think setting up your own and overriding 
that behavior would lead to paying for the licenses twice. I've thought of 
using MAK activation for the on premise clients/servers since it will be a 
relatively small environment. But I'd like to avoid having to manage that. If I 
do standup KMS servers in AWS, and have the SRV record in DNS, will that 
override the registry entry that AWS puts in the instances?

Was hoping someone else had run into this and found a solution.
