Dang
A lot of work to uncover poor coding.
I wonder if that coder still works there?

You can use NETMON and specify the the ip address of your logon server as the
filter, should'nt take more thatn 6 minutes to find :)

Hi all,
I'm about to throw in the towel on a remote server.
The local tech says the server is in a reboot loop, I had him try the following;
1. Startrep
2.sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=d:\ /OFFWINDIR=d:\windows
3.Remove each ram stick individually
4.reseat RAID card
5.Disconnect each drive (only
, safe mode, etc, etc). There comes a
point where troubleshooting is no longer cost-effective.

Actually we're a single domain so AD replication is up to date,
what I
question is: how good/recent is the backup? Luckily for a small office
like
that rebuilding a DC from scratch is more time-consuming than worrisome.

Do you control the firewall at HQ? Are there any country-specific deny rules
in place, or ip-based deny rules that correspond to your Kenyan ip addresses?

Why can’t you just import a foreign disk set? Surely that is less risky…
Cheers
