Does anyone know of the availability of any tools for measuring CIFS/SMB performance? To cut a long story short, users access Windows Server 2003 SP1 file servers via SSL VPN solution (Citrix Access Gateway/Secure Access Client), but file transfer operations sporadically fail resulting in errors

Oh, and set it to a static size - upper and lower limits the same. Saves a lot of grief if done at time of original OS install, as it keeps the page file from fragmenting furiously on a loaded machine. 1-5 fragments are OK for a page file. 50-500 fragments (or more!) not so OK for a page file. I

Generally for debugging a BSOD only kernel memory is important. A kernel dump is usually around 800MB or so (max). You do not need a full dump, nor do you need a 4GB page file. Just configure something around the 1GB mark (for the purposes of capturing these dumps). Only configure a full dump

You can accomplish this using Restricted Groups member of functionality. If you use the member facility of Restricted Groups, it limits the group to the members specified in the policy which sounds like what is happening to you. This blog describes it nicely.
