We are trying to get some Windows 7 deployments put in the budget for 2010.
Right now, we're an all XP environment, so we'll just bypass Vista

until Office 2010 is ready to go along with it.
We are looking at using 64-bit

On Mon,
Hi,
I'm working on a research paper on server virtualization security and
compliance (MSc. Information Security @ University of East London). As
part of this I've created a survey to gather input from the people who
are faced with these questions in their organizations or do have an
opinion on
If you want an non vlan aware connection dumped into vlan60, you untag it into
that vlan.
Tagged ports only permit traffic into the tagged vlan when the packets are
tagged into that vlan themselves. So non 802.1Q traffic goes to the untagged
designation as it is not tagged to a specific one.
I should've pointed out that the network was always just a flat network but due
to network growth, I'm going to segment it up into separate vlans.
I want whatever is plugged into that port to be tagged vlan60. It should be
able to communicate with other vlans and vice versa.
From:
If you want something that's plugged into that port to be in vlan60, untag it
into it.
Then unless the nic/host does the following:
1. Supports 802.1Q
2. Switch has a tagged ref into an additional vlan
It would always push traffic into vlan60. So if you *only* want that port in

I have a Procurve 2524 switch here that I do not know how to access. I

A lot of the newer stuff uses Cisco console cables but a 2524 isn't
