Have you looked at EMC Avamar? Not sure what the cost difference is, but the licensing model (at least when we bought it a little over 18 months ago) was based on the capacity of the Avamar node, (by the time the data gets to the Avamar node, it is de-duped.) Unlimited clients as well as NDMP.

I can't say I think it's a fantastic idea, however, you go into a bank or somewhere similar and the wallpaper and screensaver is whatever the corporation sets it to be. It's their property and once you get past the I don't like it, I'm not sure I see the problem or the comeback personally.

We have our XenDesktop on XenServer, but really it seems most customers don't seem to use XenServer. I had a Citrix rep out here recently to discuss Netscaler and he said we were the first shop he met using XenServer. Even the XenDesktop documentation is pretty weak on the hypervisor bit.
