I'll be watching this thread because we're in a similar situation.
However, you need a more clear concept of expensive...
Tripwire may cost a lot of money.
Fines, higher processing fees, or being denied the right to accept credit
card payements - now THAT's expensive!

If you do not yet have DSET up and running, they will link you to the
version most appropriate for your server as well.

Ah yes, one of my favorite products!
Our prim-and-proper, Sunday School Teacher of an accountant would become

Well...
This was shared as a folder within a share. Temp could browse to the
folder... However, the share-within-a-share had restricted access to it.
(Parent share did not have these restrictions.)
However, diddling with the permissions on this sub-share seems to have
fixed things.

I have an HP laptop that drives me nuts sometimes! It seems to lose its
connection mid-session. I'm beginning to wonder if this is why they have
a big button to turn the wireless NIC on and off. Hit the button, wait a
few seconds, hit the button again to turn it on - poof! Good connection
No, it's with a pretty old LinkSys WRT-54. I'm just pointing out that I
too have a device that is the only one with connection problems.
