Please give more detail on the configuration. What Version of VMWare (ESX
3.5, ESXi, VSPhere)? When you say it freez for upto 2 minutes can you
please describe exactly what that means? What symptoms?

I tried using various versions of Vmware currently testing VMware Server

In my experience VMWare Server is a DOG (performance-wise) compared to
ESX (now vSphere). I haven't used ESXi, so I can't comment on that. I
would definitely try on vSphere or ESXi if your intended deployment can
be changed to either of those options. If cost is a concern, have you

Why not use ESXi? I think the PE 2950 even ships with that as a boot
option.
