This may be a little late, but experience teaches me not to buy anything
from Belkin.

I am about to retire my Sun Solaris workstation and replace it with a
Intel box (A Dell Inspiron 530) running Ubuntu. My UPS (an APC
SmartUPS2200) only has a serial port for communicating with its
controlling host. The Sun has a serial port, but the Dell doesn't.
So ... what kind of serial port
... on my APC SmartUPS 2200? I need to tweak the supply overvoltage
trip upwards a few volts to reduce the number of nuisance trips (2 or 3
a day) I get because of my crummy mains supply. It only stays on battery
for a few seconds.

I didn't expect it to be, but it is better to be sure.
Troo.

.
Is it worth making this a configuration option or putting it in the
documentation somewhere? Indeed, would anyone be interested in my notes?
I don't know how many Sun SPARC users of NUT there are...

Huge.

Not pretty, but that works. If you don't need SNMP support, you can

Sadly, that doesn't work any better - it bombs in the same place and the
same way.
