An excellent note on the Delaware Birds list-serve, earlier - this is
an interesting occurrence away from where it more often has been
found as an "accidental" or "stray" (if those terms do in fact apply
to

Joe Giunta, Pat Jones and I (Sy Schiff) spent the morning amidst a dearth of
birds. Hopefully it is attributable to unfavorable weather patterns and
birding will improve.
But, of course there are always things of interest. Today was our first fall

There was a modest movement of birds down the barrier beach this
morning, with the main species being a small, continuous flight of
Northern Flickers. The most interesting species were two calling Am.
