I took a quick drive around the west end after the rains around 4:30-5 PM.
Thrashers are in, and there was a Meadowlark along the edge of the westernmost
entrance to WE2. Some distant terns north of the CG Station were probably
Forster's, but I couldn't tell. The bad news is that some mosquitoe
Today (4/22), there were at least 4 Yellow Warblers intermittently singing
late this morning at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, on the West Pond Trail.
Also omnipresent and quite vocal for the first time this Spring (that I've
seen) were male Boat-tailed Grackles, both there and at Plum Beach in B

group also found a male Prairie Warbler along tyhe main park drive on the east
side as you come around from the Turtle Pond toward the Maintenance Meadow.
