Just got a call from Rich Guthrie that a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE is present at the
Greene County IDA Grasslands in Coxsackie. From the Serta Cul-du-Sac he said
it's on the 2nd Pond.
This is off Rt. 9W in Coxsackie about 1 mile south of Exit 21A (Coxsackie).

Joe Giunta, Sam Jannazzo, Pat Jones, Joe Viglietta and I (Sy Schiff) traveled
primarily to find breeding birds not found on Long Island. We successfully
found all our target species and then some.

Yesterday (May 26) in the afternoon (3:00-7:00PM) I went at Jamaica Bay
Wildlife Refuge (JBWR) but I could not locate the Phalaropes in the area of the
East Pond where we saw them last Saturday. On the other hand, the White-faced
Ibis was still at the West Pond.
