This afternoon, between 4:30 & 6 PM, the only shorebirds I could find were 2
Black-bellied Plovers & 5 Greater Yellowlegs. Making up for that however, were
3 N. Gannets (2 just outside the inlet, and 1 flying over the bay), plus a
hunting Short-eared Owl. Cheers, Bob

The Yellow-throated Warbler found by Bob Kurtz at HLSP this morning was seen
again from 11:00AM to 11:15AM in a deciduous tree at the SW corner of the HLSP
parking lot (at the beginning of the paved trail that heads south). It was
relocated in the same tree at 12:15PM.
At Robert Moses State
Another or the same YTWA was found this morning near the Maryland Monument
in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. The word went out that it had been seen in the
pine trees above the monument and our Brooklyn Bird Club spring migration
walk headed right over to the area. Tom Stephenson found the bird
first broadwing at hook mountain in nyack came at 10:20 this morning. small
groups of 5 or 6 coming after that until i left at noon. tomorrow could be a
good day there with clear and cool conditions.
