A sea watch with Shawn Billerman and Mary Normandia at Cupsogue County Park this morning was quite productive. Birds seen from 7:30-9:00 a.m. included 60 Cory's Shearwaters, 2 Great Shearwaters, 1 Manx Shearwater, 25 Wilson's Storm-petrels, and 2 Northern Gannets. The conditions were ideal with

Sorry for the late post! Yesterday (8/4) Tom Moran & I, thanks to Rob Stone, saw the ibis ~ 1215. He found the bird in the 1st water you come to, off the w/side of the path, opposite the parking lot. Access to this body of water is from a short, trampled down, grass path ~ 50 - 70 yards

I observed the GHGU 3 Aug 11 with a good friend, we noticed the Gray hooded gull and many Laughers preferred to show up at mid day, it was very hot with many bathers on the beach, eating snacks and their mid day lunches. That gull and all the other LAGUs are opportunistic feeders. They have
