This morning, I observed 2 light phase Parasitic Jaegers working the
flocks of Laughing Gulls and terns at the Point.

After running some errands early this afternoon, on a whim I decided to take
a quick
spin through Heckscher State Park (Suffolk Co.). I found both the paved and
grassy
areas of parking field #7 good and flooded. Present in the grassy area as
you first enter
the lot were 2 Lesser Yellowlegs. The

Seen from Galeville Town Park from 10:30 to 11:15am:
1 juv Bald Eagle
5 Northern Harriers - no males
1 Coopers Hawk
4 Sharpies
1 Kestrel
7 TV

Approx 28 Palm Warblers
Several Yellow-rumped Warblers
1 Ea Phoebe
Many sparrows - too far out to ID except for 3 Song Sparrows and 2 Savannah
Large
Some birds appearing at points northeast of NY (or in northern NY)
very recently include a couple of Ash-throated Flycatchers, as well as
a Fork-tailed Flycatcher (Nova Scotia Canada), and in a few reports,
Northern Shrike including at least one in the Lake Placid area of the
Adirondack
