Thanks to a call from Ken Feustel at 11:40, I headed east from errands in
western Suffolk and found a small party of birders enjoying superb views of the
Curlew Sandpiper at Pikes Beach at 12:25. Andrew Baksh and I baby-sat the bird
until Patricia Lindsay and Joan Quinlan arrived at 2:52. In
Currently being seen from Wearhampton Dunes Overlook, western sandbar, between
WHDunes Island and Pikes.

Currently being seen and heard, in the DEC property, as reported yesterday.
Very vocal. First left bike trail, off main trail- parking lot#26(not currently
marked, but lot is east of #27/28)-off Route25A, west of Wm Floyd, Rocky Point.
Still calling as we left.

In parking lot, Killdeer nest with 4 eggs, mother constantly distressed by the
many cars and dogs here for Agility Nationals. Someone has put up three stakes
and pink tape to warn away traffic but shouldn't they shut off this lot. There
