I spent over 7 hours on the East Pond today, having a decent number of
shorebirds to look at; however, the variety remain low for this time of the
year.

For those interested, I've uploaded a digiscoped photo and video of
the Uppie, taken this morning. The bird was in the tall grass just
east of the Nature Center (aka West End 1) parking lot. I first
noticed it ~8:20am as I was leaving the circular boardwalk and heading
to my car. The
Just after dawn yesterday (10 Aug) I headed out on the low-tide flats at
Cupsogue County Park and found two Marbled Godwits together on the western
side of the flats. By 7am they were feeding in separate spots. This
morning I saw again saw godwits in two separate locations there - I assume

Bird was on the left side of the path as you are going up the steep hill from
the restaurant going towards Royal Oak. Bird was in the picnic area in a mixed
flock.
