This is a follow up to Andrew's post as well as Ken and Sue's. Having dipped on the Cliff Swallow in the AM. I made and a return trip to Hempstead Lake in the PM.(Around one). Walking to the South pond to retry for the CLSW I met up with Karen Fung and Bob Berlingeri who had just seen the Cliff

Bronx Brendan and I did our usual loop around Hunter Island and also Turtle Cove. Turtle Cove is having a culvert replaced under the roadway and the pond is constantly flooded, instead of being affected by tidal flow. The culvert opening has been blocked by steel plates. We’re guessing this
