This afternoon, at 1710, the Ross's Goose was the only avian specie in the
horse pasture on the s/s of Middle Rd., between Northville Tpke & Ostrander
Ave, Riverhead.

While in between brutally windy games at my son’s soccer tournament this
morning, I watched 3 American Kestrels hunting for 45 minutes over the field NE
of the main parking lot.
2 Peregrine Falcons also passed over the field during that time.

A 1st winter Black-headed Gull is currently loafing near the middle parking lot
off the Belt Parkway at Gravesend Bay in Brooklyn.

At least 2 Eastern Phoebes made appearances in Central despite the heavy storm
winds & rain-sleet-snow, on Friday. One at the north end, above The Pool,
another in the Ramble, both seeming pretty forlorn in the wind.
