If only we got to name the blocks! Each block is 1/6 of a USGS quadrangle (a 7.5-minute topo map), and that quad must happen to fall mostly in New Jersey--or at least, it got its name from there. The blocks are given the quad name plus NW, NE, CW, CE, SW, or SE. Happy birding, Matt
