While trying to refind the Connecticut warbler seen today at Hoyt Farm in
Commack I stumbled upon a yellow breasted chat by the back fields.

morning. We discovered the bird in a patch of mugwort and goldenrod when it
responded to a chip call and flew across the path. We got a clear look at the
brownish hood, complete eye ring and yellowish underparts.

Currently I briefly had a sora in view in pehlam bay park.somewhat of a rarity
for bronx county.i'm posting in case anyone would like to try to get it for
there county or other list.tiny dark brown,short yellow bill looks like an
adult.theres a likelihood it will be in the area for today
