As of noon today Wed. Jan. 18 2012 the Greater White-fronted Goose was on the pond at Gerry Park in Roslyn, NY. The goose could be viewed from the parking lot in the park itself or the municipal lot on Old Northern Blvd. in downtown Roslyn. The goose was in the Northwest corner of the pond. Also

This morning 12-10-09 8-10:30am while on our weekly bird survey of Hempstead Lake State Park, parking field 3, we had an Orange-crowned Warbler along the stream near where it empties into South Pond. Had good looks as it flitted around for a few minutes. Nice color on the underside of this bird.
