We come in from Suffolk and on our original trip took the LIRR to Atlantic
Terminal (in Brooklyn), and then the Q down to Coney Island. It works really
well, and it's a somewhat shorter subway ride than going all the way from Penn
Station. If you were going in to Penn you could walk to the Q or

not even be sure Penn Station was the best choice. Can we get some

I recognize Bob's point. I can't assist with parking recommendations. It's
difficult for people living outside of NYC to think outside the automobile.
However, if people can and will, I suggest using public transportation in
and out of NYC as well as using the subway within. As

I think the problem with the subway idea for people who live outside the NYC
area is: where to park? Most people will be driving. Where can one park for
inexpensive convenient access to a subway that leads down to Coney Island?
