The long staying Mississippi Kite is showing well at the Cemetery of the Resurrection, soaring fairly high above the road leading to the overlook and feeding on the wing (cicadas of course). Seen with the original finder Anthony C. and Mike Vedder of Long Island. Shane Blodgett Brooklyn NY

An adult Mississippi Kite just made two brief appearances over the royal oak section of Clove Lakes Park on Staten Island. Saw it once flying north and another time flying south so it may be sticking around. Also had a very late Hermit Thrush in the same general area. Howie Fischer and I
