just flew out from the East Pond, over Crossbay seemingly heading towards the
south marsh.

While doing a water level survey on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay, I had the
continuing White-faced Ibis drop in briefly on the south end.

Dear all,
Birders appreciate that reporting may be forthcoming, with a full name
your hometown - but where is that Ibis flock (1 White-faced
Glossys), not mentioned in posts here placed today? (I know where, but
does every reader of these posts, and even every subscriber to this
list?)
In addition to my previous post, the Stilt Sandpiper also continues in a panne
further to the west.

The immature White-faced Ibis continues now at the Captree Island marsh. We
are currently viewing at the first area of marsh north of the road, as seen

Responding to Shai Mitra's posting, I quickly left the house, promising my
wife to finish the chores I was involved in (without fail), upon my return.
She is quite aware of how serious I am, when the bird in question, would be
an addition to my state list, and therefore, stepped aside and wished

shortly after Shai and Doug left a Parasitic Jaeger flew over Captree Island
(photos on my flickr site). I have also put up a few photos of the White-face
Ibis in comparison with adjacent Glossy Ibis. The Ibis disappeared

The adult ibis was seen this afternoon with about 30 Glossy Ibis roosting at
the back of Big Johns Pond. The birds were to the left of the barn Owl/raccoon
box. The tide was high. Ibis were comming and going the whole time we were
there. The bird was last seen flying out towards the east pond.
