The Gray Kingbird continues in Canarsie Park in Brooklyn this morning
11/17, perching in snags and foraging around the southwest corner of
‘Cricket Field 2’ and in trees along the belt parkway.

No entrance fee. It was seen near the entrance to the marina today 11/30 at
1:15 and 2:00, on both sides of the road, more recently on beach side. It
was a little farther north around midday. It is sometimes on low and
conspicuous ornamental shrubs right along the road. Relocates frequently.

I am not on site, but I am hearing that the bird has not been seen in
nearly an hour . Also oddly absent from these reports was a new scissor
tailed flycatcher at point with lookout town park, where the graces watbler
once was a few winters ago along the north side of the parking lot.

With this proven second Western Kingbird (at Jones Beach while a bird was
demonstrably present at Robert Moses SP), it is worth considering the
possibility that more than one individual has been involved in the observations
at RMSP dating back to 1 October.

I had the bird in flight heading northwest over the Bleecker Street
playground at about 3 PM today. I thought it was heading towards the

For those still looking the Couch's Kingbird is perched on a green fire escape
on N side of W 11th St at corner with Hudson St. A few blocks down from last
