You'd be right Mike. I used to work at the refuge when it was first formed and
did the checklist for it and Wallkill. They used to nest there many years ago,
but have not been seen there until recently and definitely not on territory.

Following up on earlier posts, late afternoon had 6 birders looking in the
southeastern field and edges next to the golf course. The bird was finally
located several times, and a few people had decent although quick looks.

Today, Jean Loscalzo and I went in search of these species, particularly
the Henslows Sparrow [HESP]. Construction delays on the GW bridge
