[nysbirds-l] Harris's Sparrow - Altamont, NY - Yes
Got a brief glimpse of the Harris's Sparrow at 2:30pm this afternoon, confirming that it still is present in the yard at 579 Meadowdale Road, Altamont, NY. The Harris' popped out into the open for just a moment on the edge of the small fenced-in garden beyond the driveway on the south side of the backyard. [nysbirds-l] Clarence Fahnstock State Park (Putnam County) Red-necked Grebe
A very drab Red-necked Grebe is currently on Canopus Lake off of Rt 301. Bird was first seen at the south end near the last bit of ice and by the time I left it was moving towards the center of the lake. There are a few spots to pull off along the road.
