Just a little while ago I had marvelous views of a Lark Sparrow feeding with a flock of 4 Chipping, 2 Field, 4 Tree, and several Song Sparrows and Juncos. The bird was foraging in the grass immediatly west of the entrance to the Calverton Grasslands by the way of Grumman Blvd. The entire

Around noon I had a bright Orange-crowned Warbler along the stream about 100 yards or so north of the Pittsburg Avenue pond. Besides the usual suspects, I had a Winter Wren, 4 Fox Sparrows - one missing most of its tail -, and 2 Snow Geese on the lawn of the school at Pittsburgh
