4.30 and 6.30pm today. It was again in the vicinity of the graffiti covered
boat towards the north-east of the Plumb marsh inlet. This is just south of the

The Say's Phoebe found this morning at Edgemere Park, Queens co.,
remained on the north-east slope thru sunset.
For those interested in chasing, the bird will probably be present
tomorrow morning due to it's late stay, and it's finding a lot of food

This morning, we observed a flock of 80+ chimney swifts moving NW to SE
above New Castle Town Hall in Chappaqua (Westchester County) just before
9am.
Setting up for the Saw Mill River Audubon bird seed sale today, we were
alerted to their presence by the distinctive call notes overhead.
Watched
Several good birds have been reported along the Niagara River in Buffalo
this afternoon. From the West Side Rowing Club, Peter Yoerg reports a
juvenile SABINE'S GULL, a juvenile BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE, a LITTLE GULL,
and three PHALAROPES. The Sabine's was most of the way across the river in
Fort
Bird is now on the south east side near the road that you take to up on the
landfill. It was missing for a bit so you have to be patient.
Excellent bird for Queens that was overdue. Another good result from patch
birding and full credit to Corey who has made this his patch to pound.

I just found and photographed a Say's Phoebe at Edgemere Landfill, Queens. It
is going from post to post on the north side of the top of the landfill.

After yesterday's rain a cold front with north winds brought many
migrant birds to Alley Pond Park, Queens.
Large numbers of N Flicker seen in many locations. Particularly 14 on
the ball field next to the handball courts.

it simply disappears into the grass, whether it has ever been
