Spent a little over an hour with others today scouring the kingbird's usual hangout at Floyd Bennett Field but came up empty. I'm still holding out hope that he was able to survive on the abundant bittersweet, bayberry, juniper and other berries around Floyd until the next thaw. Perhaps he got

The Bohemian waxwing was seen by 10 observers this morning around 10:30 at the Perkins backyard in Miller Place, Long Island.   It had been seen earlier before everyone arrived.  It returned in the company of a starling, landed at the top of a distant tree and remained for about 10 minutes and
