Patricia Lindsay and I accomplished a dubious listing exploit this weekend: we managed to see all eight goose species on the NYS list within a 21 hour period (Ross's Goose at Southaven CP at 4:40 Saturday to Pink-footed Goose in Riverhead 1:40 Sunday), but we were unable to combine them all in

Spent a little over an hour with others today scouring the kingbird's usual hangout at Floyd Bennett Field but came up empty. I'm still holding out hope that he was able to survive on the abundant bittersweet, bayberry, juniper and other berries around Floyd until the next thaw. Perhaps he got
