Met a really nice and terrific birder, Dave at Nickerson. He pointed out a
gull-billed and 2 roseate terns. Added bonus was a black tern I got in the
scope. Did not see my target arctic tern.

There’s quite a bit of peer reviewed literature that finds that, although
counterintuitive, TNR is rarely successful at decreasing feral cat populations.
This is going to start a firestorm on the ebird list. I suggest further
conversation be off the list.

I called my senator as well. The aide asked me a lot of questions about why I
opposed the bill. I was well versed having read the emails on this list. But I
think they either did not know about the bill or the issues with it. So it is
good to be prepared to educate your senator.

Thank you for this email. My favorite cat came to us as a ferrel cat. He has

Simply neutering ferrel cats instead of killing them will achieve the se goal

I just called and they said the bill wasn't coming up today. So people should
still call as soon as possible but those who can't manage today can still call
tomorrow and have their voices heard. It was a quick phone call, no waiting,
and took less than a minute

I got a picture of the bird (posted today in New York Birders-Facebook) and the
