It's that time of year again! The next CBC runs from December 14, 2015
through January 5, 2016.
If you are a CBC compiler/coordinator, please help us build an accurate
2015/2016 Christmas Bird Count schedule.to help get as many volunteers
involved in the count as
Previously reported Sora at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park relocated at pond
habitat east of meadow.

Spotted a Sora on Vale Lawn at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1 today. Small
triangular lawn north of steps. Others report it is still there in meadow
at south end of lawn.

We still need more registrants in order for the Paulagics overnight pelagic
trip out of Brooklyn, on October 23-24, to sail.
Deep water off the northeast is very poorly explored for birds at this time
of year, despite it being around the peak for a lot of waterbird migration.

As part of a modest flight this morning at Marshlands Conservancy in Rye,
2 Blue Grosbeaks were present together at the top of the field. Flight was
mostly Yellow-rumped Warblers and White-throated Sparrows otherwise.
