Re: [nysbirds-l] YB Chat downtown Manhattan x 2

2016-11-10 Thread Karen Fung
The Trinity Church Yellow-breasted Chat was also present this morning from
12 noon to 1pm. This is the Chat that Ben Cacace found about a week ago.
This morning it was favoring the northern part of the north cemetery and
would always return to a magnolia tree located in the middle of the
northern edge.

Trinity Church (75 Broadway, at the intersection with Wall Street) is
several blocks south of Millenium Park.

[nysbirds-l] Socrates Sculpture Park Surprise

2016-11-10 Thread Tim Healy
Currently wrapping up a field trip for some of my students that I helped lead.
A calling Eastern Bluebird heard from the treetops in Socrates Sculpture Park,
Queens, was an exceedingly pleasant surprise. Next most uncommon species are a
Downy Woodpecker and some mockingbirds. Gotta enjoy the little things.

Cheers!

[nysbirds-l] King Eider - Bayville 11/10 (Nassau)

2016-11-10 Thread Brendan Fogarty
Hi folks,
Female King Eider being seen at Ransom and Stehli's beach in Bayville. Was
close to shore, just off the eastern end of Ransom's parking lot when I left
around 1pm. Found by others, possibly yesterday.
Peace, Brendan Fogarty
