Unusual for Westchester, 3 Black Skimmers were in Milton Harbor, Marshlands
Conservancy, this morning and were last seen flying out of the harbor. Tom

Skimmers also occur fairly regularly in the Meadowlands and along the
Hackensack River in New Jersey during the summer, so they're by no means
restricted to beaches.

Hi, does anyone know if there are still skimmers hanging around Nickerson or
Lido? Volunteers for Wildlife has a juvenile that was rescued and is now ready
for release. They would prefer to release him in the area where he was found.
Please email me off-list.
Thanks,
Stella Miller
