A male Eurasian Widgeon has returned to Patchogue Lake, Patchogue, NY.
Approximately 6 Canvasbacks are associating with a large group of Ringed- neck
Ducks on Seatuck Creek north of Montauk Hwy, by the Long Island Country Club in
Eastport.
2 Royal Terns were at Iron Pier Beach, Riverhead.
A male Eurasian Widgeon has returned to Patchogue Lake, Patchogue, NY.

One male Eurasian Widgeon seen at Santapoque Creek in West Babylon, on the
island right off Montauk Highway. Also a couple of American Widgeon and about
20 Green-winged Teal, with other expected species.
The bay is frozen over so no ducks were present off Venetian Shores.

I spotted one Eurasian Widgeon at the Massapequa Reservoir (the pond
next to the LIRR station) and fourteen American Widgeon at the first
pond north of the reservoir, along with first of season Carolina Wren,
Northern Cardinal, Great Egret and others.
