In the dunes at Ocean Beach, Fire Island I found another great shearwater carcass, about 4 miles east of where John Gluth reported one yesterday. The bird was away from the wrack line, in a fenced off section of dunes, so it is unlikely that it washed up to the point where it ultimately ended

In the dunes at Ocean Beach, Fire Island I found another great shearwater carcass, about 4 miles east of where John Gluth reported one yesterday. The bird was away from the wrack line, in a fenced off section of dunes, so it is unlikely that it washed up to the point where it ultimately ended
