Glynnwood Farm and Topfield Center next to Fahnestock S.P. in Cold Spring off
NY-301. Was seen by at least two people in a tree.

I had a Shrike as well as an American Kestrel at the Union Ship Canal near
the Certainteed building in South Buffalo about 20 minutes ago. Prior to
that I had a Northern Mockingbird, American Kestrel and Snowy Owl at the
Seaway Slip on Furhman Blvd. The owl was out on the break wall.

fyi, I checked today but could not find it. if its still there it was
probably staying undercover from the constant wind. only thing I saw
perhaps worth mentoning was a pair of pintails on the swale.

Sorry for the late post. The Northern Shrike was seen late this morning
(11:00am) flying out of the tall trees west of the west end ll parking lot.
It continued north into some bayberry bushes for a while then flew north
again toward the fishing pier. It then tried to nab a yellow-rumped warbler

just before the pipeline clearing in Forestburg. This bird is very brown with
no white in the wings while perched, and a very vague mask. This location is

believe the bird was seen about 1000 yards south of the boat ramp.

Had a Northern Shrike near the first boat launch just South of Lazy Point in
Napeague. Initially mostly feeding from perches near the boat launch but also
chased a Snow Bunting along the shore line at one point.
