The NYC Audubon Wednesday Morning birding group recorded 44 in a fairly
birdie Central Park. The highlights were 10 warbler species (Parula, BW,
Magnolia, BT Blue, Ovenbird, C.Yellowthroat, Yel-rump, Blackpoll, Redstart,
Palm) both Kinglets, Brown Creepers (4), Winter
I spotted a CONNECTICUT WARBLER along the Daniel P. Davison Trail at Uplands
Farm at around 2:45 PM. The bird walked across the path and into the dense
growth along the edge of the meadow. Joe Jannsen and I spent about 15 minutes
trying to relocate the bird but all we could detect was movement

Did the Government also shut down Fall? Beautiful August type day and finally,
what appears to be the start of a migration. For a change, a decent mix of
shorebirds and sparrows.
