Warblers.
Wood Duck - male Bronx River
Mallard - 10-12
Mourning Dove - 40+
Great Blue Heron - 2 (flyover & immature
A high noon walk down Cupsogue beach turned up a piping plover loosely
associating with a flock of Sanderlings. There was also a semi-palmated
plover with this group. Two loon flyovers between ocean and beach was the
only other thing of interest.

The highlights from Gulling at multiple sites in Brooklyn and Queens include.
Black-legged Kittiwake (1) adult seen in a massive flock of Gulls just off Riis
Park in Queens, That flock also produced 1 Iceland and 2 Lesser Black-backed
Gulls.
2 Banded Herring Gulls and 1 banded Ring-billed
Being seen at 11:15 where reported by Corey. First up in a tree, then flew
down. Was calling.

An adult Bald Eagle was sitting at the top of a dead tree throughout my son’s
soccer practice this morning at the Northport Soccer Park. It was being mobbed
continuously by a half dozen crows.
One of the local Common Ravens was also around the adjacent National Grid
stacks earlier in the
I’m at Floyd Bennett and just had three swans flying over the aviation
sports complex. I was only able to get them in my binoculars for a second
before I lost them behind the building, but the bills
Seemed dark and shaped more like a Trumpeter or Tundra than a Mute. I ran
around the building but
Found at Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank. There is a hedge row about 100 yards
due west of parking area. Walk to north end of hedge row and move south. There
is a trailer holding a number of long metal pipes. Just south of trailer in
hedge row was bird.

Very strong gannet flight this morning with upwards of 1000 birds observed.
There are currently huge feeding flocks to the west, most likely spectacularly
visible from the Long Beach area. A Parasitic Jaeger flew west past the jetty
at around 7:35. Sea duck numbers were low, with small flocks
A bit west of where it had been seen recently. If you leave the APEC parking
lot and walk east along Northern Blvd, over the bridge, and immediately turn
onto the trail it was about 100 yards along, on the right, just after the
steep, muddy hill.
