NYC Audubon is organizing its 4th NYC Shorebird Blitz, which will take
place on *Sunday, August 27th*. Whether you're new to shorebirds or are an
expert on fall shorebird plumages, we're looking to cover as much habitat
throughout NYC as possible where there may be shorebirds - beaches, ponds,
golf courses, etc. - to get a 1-day snapshot of activity in NYC.

If you're interested in participating, all you need to do is:

   - Email me at dkrien...@nycaudubon.org to sign up for a location to
count at. After signing up for a location, it will be added to this map (if
a location is already marked, someone is already counting there):
   https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OZ7O3fVvVlo6TxVPYjS0YNluv4A&usp=sharing

   - Go out and count at your assigned location anytime on August 27th! You
can do it alone, with a friend, or as a group.

   - Send a completed datasheet (which I will provide) back to me
afterwards, whether there were shorebirds or not. Feel free to also put
   your checklist on eBird!

Last 'fall', 23 volunteers counted over 3,100 shorebirds of 17 species in
one day all over NYC.

Happy shorebirding!

Best,

Debra
