Recently I transfered a phone number to Vodafone's Red Network. Since then I have had nothing but trouble every time I have tried to send or receive a fax. Around 20% of the time it goes through very slow, the rest of the time it fails.
This issue has been looked into by Vodafone's technical department, and at this juncture it appears to be a issue that affects most or all of the Red Network and Vodafone appear uninterested/unable in resolve it in a manner that will not require me to change the number with the associated inconvenience and expense. Further, even if I were to change the number they would still have to transfer the line back to Telecom and resell it as a Telecom network 'wholesale line'. In short I would strongly suggest that people avoid Red Network for any use other then strictly voice communications.
