Last year, Tom Stratton, touring director, coordinated some great remote start club rides on Saturdays. Most began just outside the city limits and offered routes and destinations that some of us would never do if they started from BB. One could go really "remote" and start from, say, Calebogie, Plantagenet or Perth, where there are some lovely cycling possibilities. Looking at the OBC calendar, Saturday tours start in June, presumably they are of the remote kind -- I hope so. > Those who have difficulty in getting to the remote starts have only to > "put some feelers out" (email, club office) to secure a lift.
