Hey all you fellow cyclists,
Thursday 6pm: On the Gatineau Parkway there is a 40m stretch at the St.
Raymond overpass, and then the parking area at Champlain Lookout is bare.
Between these two points you'll have to strap on some planks and throw that
hunk of titanium over your shoulder.

Title: Re: [obc] Club's perceived elitism
dragging on this "perceived" thread,
I
wonder if some of this comes from the process of forminggroups on [Sunday]
rides.
New
faces will notice some reluctance from other riderswhen joining
groups. Especially in the more sportif/training groups.
Personally, I don't think that paths are suitable for group
rides. There
is evidence which is generally accepted by municipal authorities
(although apparently not the NCC) that mixed use paths
increase the risk
of an incident.
I would like to hear what others think.
Thanks for the

From my experience last year...medium syntace aero bars hold a Swiss-Chalet
dinner perfectly...but unfortunately the drive-thru did not recognize my
bicycle and turn on the mic.
Maybe a board member could confirm this for me... but I believe the calendar
should ONLY include OBC club events or those that organizers submit to the
board for posting. As such, they should be advertised as non-club events.

Okay...I'll start,
Highway Traffic Amendment Act (Helmets), 2002
I believe helmet use should be mandatory only on multicrash paths (ie.
'bikepaths')...but it appears pathways would be excluded with he proposed
ammendment. Maybe someone will have to form a new club that ONLY rides on
multiuse

If you are going away for the weekend (Madawaska?) you may want to set your
vcr to tape cbc 2-3pm Saturday.
See if Canada's Roland Green was able to defend his championship in what was
deemed to be one of the best and toughest World MTBs in quite some time.

Valid points from all.
As this is an emailing service, a problem from my perspective is that a
mechanism is required to reduce unnecessary daytime posts without limiting
who can sign on to automatically receive/read them.
Can anyone give some constructive input on how this could be implemented
