learned some things from the existing package, e.g. you need to
add a user to run the daemon, you need to pass --with-rundir or
it will default to /usr/var, and it also already has a SMF
manifest. You also need to define --libexecdir Solaris does not
use /usr/libexec.

The CONFIGURE_OPTIONS macro is already defined with default
values for mandir/bindir/libdir etc. in configure.mk so you
should not override it but only add to it.

it but there have been fixes to the specfiles which allow

forward when you commit on top of it (this brain-dmaged default
is gone from mercurial 1.8) and you need mercurial 1.6 to
push/pull bookmarks between repos.

libstdc++ and Clang libc++ are actively working on C++'0x support
so it's only a matter of time until some OSS projects start
taking advantage of that.
