Checking current Okular seem the handle annotation and sticky notes, notes and other note items better, whereas the overall performance and responsiveness of Okular when adding notes could be much better. Any way the result should be that a sticky note does not grow over the page borders and calculates its size depending on the content and the the necessary margins. Anyway, I can confirm the behavior of sticky notes growing uncontrollable which makes it almost useless, but at least very time consuming.
