Now the question would be. What do you gain or loose by upping the
compression. But I don't think its that simple, because for every change
you make effects something else you do. It comes down to the whole
package.
One gains more HP and torque. The downside is getting the engine to

As I as always understood it is that you can increase the cylinder
temperature by upping the compression when using aluminum. Like you said
in your earlier post. The cast iron burns better because it retains heat
in the cyl. better. The aluminum can be brought back up to that temp.
