I have experienced the same problem as discussed here. what does the list recommend as is the good, better, best replacement pump for 1970 442 455. Doug I echo Milton's advice. An inline plastic body fuel filter is fine for diagnosing fuel flow, but replace it with metal for the long run.

List, If you suspect the tank sock/filter is stopped up, you might be able to cure your problem this way. Remove the gas line from the fuel pump, remove the gas cap, blow air Back toward the fuel tank. If the sock/filter is stopped up, you will hear a pop/clunk as the air pressure blows the
