This will not cleanly shutdown your vm's at system halt though.
But if you can live with that, that will work fine :)

Hello,
maybe you will have to enable compression on that ZVOL, and rewrite that
disk with zeroes from client. Because your pool propably don't even know
from vmware client, that you delete your data.

Hi,
I have OmniOS 12 with three RAIDZ pools.
In /var/adm/messages a have these messages about every few seconds:
Nov 25 15:30:52 servername scsi: [ID 107833 kern.notice]
/pci@0,0/pci8086,e08@3/pci1000,3020@0 (mpt_sas0):
Nov 25 15:30:52 servername Aborted_command!
Nov 25 15:30:52
Hi Dan,
thanks for reply.
Yes, errors are on all 5 disks in the same RAIDZ pool. No problem on other
disks in different pool but on the same SAS cable.
So maybe I only had bad luck with that disks.

are stored informations about this
(un)importable pool, how can I delete them? Why c3t5d0 seems to be as part
of two different pools at the same time?
Thank you for any help.

Yes, you have to use bootable DOS and DOS version of sas2flash.
There is an awesome tool for creating bootable USB stick with DOS called Rufus

snapshots, backups with send/receive and some other interesting ZFS things,
so it could be usable for some projects.
Is there anyone, who tried that before? Any eperience with that?
